The Kelvin Temperature Scale.

The kelvin temperature scale  arise as a result of Charle’s  law.

   The temperature on the Celsius scale can be converted to kelvin by adding     .

The general expression for the   conversion of kelvin to Celsius is

.

Kelvin temperature scale can be defined as the temperature scale in which its zero coincide with -273 of the Celsius temperature scale.

Kelvin temperature scale is also called Absolute Temperature Scale or Thermodynamic Temperature scale.

Example

Convert   to kelvin

Temperature in kelvin = temperature in degree + 273

K= -237 +273 =

Therefore,
