Efficiency Of A Machine

Efficiency  E of a machine can be defined as the ratio of work ouput (or workdone) by the machine to the work input to the machine.

Mathematically,

NOTE  that work = force x distance

Work output of a Machine  is defined as the product of the load and distance move by the Load.

Work output = load x distance move by load

Work input to the Machine is defined as the product of the  Effort  and distance move by the Effort.

Work input = Effort  x  Distance move by effort
