Though the level of domestic technology located in Gielinor seems predominately to  OSRS gold be roughly that of the 15th or 16th centuries (a period admittedly later than that of numerous dream RPGs), together with cannon-topped castles and Renaissance garb, a number of striking anachronisms are immediately apparent. For instance, a lot of homes and buildings have been equipped with sinks that provide running water - an improvement that, in the actual world, did not come until centuries after the presumed time period!

Other examples are easily identified - one the prime culprits in this region is the really sort of silly modernity of machines such as those in the Elemental Workshop (these, of course, are powered by magical, but their styles are totally incoherent with the rest of the world). Less concrete but still concrete - and even though not very anachronistic, per se - are the high number of real world names found in Gielinor, even if there are not any reasons to do so. If Gielinorian humans did come in Earth, a theory which I dislike myself but that seems plausible, there might have lived vestiges of"ancient" titles, but they would probably be greatly changed and not in ordinary use.

As for me, I love to believe that the titles introduced to us are anglicized as per The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (see The Lord of the Rings, Appendix 6); for example, in the prior book, the ancient Numenorean title Kalimac was turned into Meriadoc, a title with the same feel to English-speaking ears, along with its nickname"Kali" to"Merry". Therefore, characters in Gielinor are given common real-world names so as to seem familiar, rather than the common Gielinorian titles they possess.

Oh, by the way: although I personally dislike anachronism and favor a much more Dark Ages-esque setting, and equally dislike the use of real-world names in dream worlds, this isn't a rant about these things but instead an attempt in a discussion about them.

Hello, so I was googling some random things and I found this on a forums. It rather related to me a fantastic deal so that it kinda hit me hard. After reading, Im still not going to stop Runescape or anything but yeah I must remember to limit myself. Wow... This man says that he plays on average 10 hours a day. Thats a lot even for me. Im not certain if hes exaggerating on some of the stuff or not... (Can some1 actually play long for an extended weeks on end?)

Please excuse my english, english isnt my first language... Now I'm 19 years old, I played non stop from 15 to 18, I wasted 3 decades of my life for Old School RuneScape Gold this DEVIL game. I never had a day without runescape for 3 years, I performed from 5 to 18 hours a day.
