NBA 2K21 is officially available now, but I just got my entire review copy yesterday , so this review in advancement will spill into next week (following the Labor Day weekend). However, I was able to put in a good number of hours and in that time NBA 2K21 has made it clear that it has maintained the franchise's listing of stellar on-court gameplay. The majority of the upgrades are relatively small, such as loose rebounds feeling and looking a lot more realistic, but they also help add to an already solid base. The best aspect of NBA 2K21 so much is the control tweaks, such as the new aim meter, make for an all-new learning curve. Regrettably, upgrades to the surrounding game modes appear fairly barebones.

The aim-meter mechanic is really difficult to master, but has led to a quite satisfying one-on-one isolation victories. It is nice being able to use the right stick exclusively as a dribbling tool till I'm ready to pull back to get a shot. The capability to size-up, which is tied to unique dribbling animations for lots of the top players in the league, and isolate is better than ever. I spent a couple of hours experimenting with different playstyles, like facilitating the pick-and-roll using Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. It is tremendously rewarding to use Doncic's dimensions and footwork to create space - something that I couldn't replicate with other guards around the group, like Seth Curry. While it's not entirely new, NBA 2K21's ability to emulate players' playstyles is outstanding this season.

Nevertheless, there are a couple annoying gameplay issues I've come across, too. Fastbreaks seem slightly improved, but participant spacing continues to be clearly off. For instance, even my greatest three-point shooters will track within the three-point lineup on fast breaks when they would be better off finding space in the corner. In general, it seems like NBA 2K21 hasn't completely adapted to the accent modern NBA basketball has set on the three-point line. Quick catch-and-shoots aren't as prevalent as they should be, and final out is still far too simple on protection.

Likewise frustrating is that the CPU's capacity to make problems for Cheap NBA 2K21 MT Coins itself. In my brief time with NBA 2K21, I've seen two backcourt violations on wide-open inbounds passes.
